Assistance
for People with Disabilities
Sensitive to the special needs of customers, LVIA provides both
physical and practical amenities for travelers with disabilities.
This includes skycaps to assist passengers upon arrival and departure,
handicap accessible parking spaces in each lot, ramps to planes,
a wheelchair ground transport to assist passengers who are traveling
on a commuter flight, wheelchair-height dining tables and wheelchair
accessible restrooms. And, with prior notification at the time of
reservation, we can accommodate special equipment and service animals
on board.
Automated
Teller Machine
Self-service banking machines are located in the main terminal on
the lower level.
Customer Care Volunteer Program
Customer Care Volunteers are people from the community who donate their time to provide courteous and friendly assistance and provide a warm welcome to visitors at the Lehigh Valley International Airport. Click here for more information.
Elevators/Escalators
Elevators and escalators are available throughout the main terminal
area and in the departure area. Braille signage is located in the
elevators.
Luggage
Carts
Luggage carts are available throughout the Airport for "free"
to assist passengers with their luggage.
Mail
Facilities
A self-service USPS postal center is located in the main terminal
on the lower level. There are drop boxes available for FEDEX, Airborne
Express and UPS which are located in the main terminal on the upper
level.
Mail-Back
Program
At the checkpoint, passengers will be given the option (verbally
or on a printed card) of losing the prohibited item or going to
the self-mail center to ship it at their expense. A list of items
that may not be mailed will be included on the card. TSA will hand
the card to the passenger and will instruct passenger to go to USPS
Self-Mail Center. Passenger will purchase a USPS Priority Mail stamp
from the vending machine. USPS Priority Mail envelopes/labels, USPS
Notice 107, packing paper and pen will be available on packaging
table next to vending machine. Passenger deposits Priority Mail
package in 2nd mailbox prior to going to security checkpoint.
Telephones
Public telephone banks are located throughout the Airport and meet
the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) height restrictions. Telephones
with amplified volume controls are standard to most telephones,
and all phones are hearing-aid compatible.
Telecommunications
Devices for the Deaf (TDD Phones)
There is one public TDD phone located on the lower level of the main terminal by the baggage claim area. The Communications Center has incoming TDD
on 610-231-5229.
