Lehigh Valley,
Pa. - The new schedule will link Allentown's Lehigh Valley Airport
with Worcester, MA & St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL. Beginning December
6, 2001, Pan American Airways will expand its service with the Lehigh
Valley International Airport in Allentown, PA. The expansion will
offer nonstop jet service to the Boston area via the Worcester,
MA Airport, and connecting service to St. Petersburg-Clearwater,
Florida via Pan Am's Clipper Class 727-200 Boeing jets.
Pan Am's President,
Dave Fink, said, "Pan Am is eager to expand our destinations for
the Lehigh Valley International Airport. The addition of Worcester,
just to the west of Boston, and continued service to Portsmouth,
just to the North, will open up the Greater Boston and New England
markets to Allentown passengers and create a solid business and
leisure route to our systems. Fink added, "We are very excited about
the start of service with Florida's west coast through the St. Petersburg-Clearwater
International Airport."
Pan Am's new
schedule with the Lehigh Valley International Airport will begin
on December 6, 2001. These new destinations will add to Pan Am's
current destinations of Orlando-Sanford International Airport, which
is the only nonstop jet service from Lehigh Valley International
Airport to the Orlando area; and connecting flights into San Juan,
Puerto Rico and Portsmouth, NH. Information about fares, reservations
and schedules can be found at www.flypanam.com,
