Preferred Parking Plan for Frequent LVIA
Customers
After careful
consideration, I have decided to go forward with a preferred parking
plan to reward frequent LVIA customers. These customers would be
provided designated spaces conveniently located in the long-term
lot. They would not receive any discount off their parking rate.
There were several
criteria that we used in developing and refining the plan. It must
be fair and easily documented. It should reward our most loyal customers
and, above all, be an incentive to generate more business. With
that in mind, we have decided to proceed as follows:
- Special parking
will be offered to those individuals who, within a preceding 12-month
period, have used the airport a total of 20 times (flights outbound).
I believe this is a reasonable number, at least, to start. We
may decide to adjust it, up or down, once we evaluate the response.
There are several
ways someone can qualify for this privilege:
- Provide the
Airport Authority copies of their receipts for airline tickets
or frequent flyer records
- Be identified
with supporting documentation by any of our carriers as a frequent
user meeting this criteria
- Be identified
with supporting documentation by their company as a frequent user.
In addition
to the preferred parking program, the staff is evaluating the benefits
of an exclusive business center/lounge to be utilized by these individuals
in the new concourse.
As I mentioned
to the board previously, we had planned to do this program by identifying
certain companies with significant use, but we could not come up
with a practical and fair approach. No formal board action is required
to implement this plan, but if you have any concerns or questions,
please let me know.
