Lehigh
Valley International Airport Officially Reopens

Lehigh Valley,
Pa. - Lehigh Valley International Airport was authorized by
the Federal Aviation Administration to resume operations at 9:00
am, Thursday, September 13, 2001. Flight activity is expected to
gradually resume. Travelers should contact their airline by calling
the toll-free number or check the Airport's web site at www.lvia.org.
Travelers should
note the following:
- Passengers
must have a governmentally issued photo ID.
- Passengers
should arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to departure.
- Valet
parking has been temporarily suspended.
- Only
ticketed passengers will be allowed past the security area.
Lehigh Valley
International Airport is located near Allentown, Pennsylvania and
serves a twelve county area with a population of 2.5 million people.
The Airport is easily accessible from communities in the eastern
Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey areas.
