Air Ontario increases flight schedule from
Allentown
LONDON, Ont.
- Air Ontario, an Air Canada regional carrier, has increased flying
from Allentown to Toronto, effective Tuesday September 8, 1998.
Flights from Allentown to Toronto will be increased to four per
day (Mon-Fri) with departures at 7:30 a.m., 11:05 a.m., 3:20 p.m.
and 5:40 p.m.
"The schedule
between Allentown and Toronto has been increased due to heavier
passenger loads attributed in large part to the current labour disruptions
taking place at Air Canada and Northwest Airlines. Passengers from
surrounding areas, such as Philadelphia,, Newark and New York, will
look to Allentown as their gateway to Toronto and beyond, as their
booked travel plans continue to be altered," stated Anne Wilson,
Director, Marketing for Air Ontario.
The increased
flying has been put in place effective September 8 through September
11, 1998, after which time the schedule will be reviewed to determine
if any further schedule changes are necessary to meet passenger
demand.
Passengers traveling
on Air Ontario, or an of Air Canada's regional carriers, will receive
triple miles on Air Canada's aeroplan program for the duration of
the labour disruption.
As always, passengers
traveling on Air Ontario flights are eligible for qualifying miles
on United's Mileage Plus program.
As an Air Canada
regional carrier, Air Ontario services 19 destinations throughout
central Canada and northeastern U.S.A., and carries over one million
passengers annually.
