Lehigh Valley,
Pa. - Airport officials reported that Comair, the Delta Connection,
would resume service to Lehigh Valley International Airport on July
7, 2001. Comair pilots have ratified a new five-year contract, ending
an 89-day strike.
"We look
forward to their return," reported George F. Doughty, Executive
Director for the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority. Comair had
four daily nonstop regional jets to Cincinnati, Ohio. All four
should be back in operation by August.
Comair has provided
the following schedule for resuming Lehigh Valley International
Airport flights:
July 7, 2001
July 12, 2001
July 17, 2001
July 22, 2001
Customers scheduled
on a Comair flight that was canceled because of the strike may check
the status of their flight by visiting the Comair web site at www.comair.com
or by calling Comair Reservations at 1-800-354-9822. Lehigh Valley
International Airport is located near Allentown, Pennsylvania and
serves a twelve county area with a population of 2.5 million people.
The Airport is easily accessible from communities in the eastern
Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey areas.
