METER PARKING LOT CLOSING AT LEHIGH VALLEY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Lehigh Valley, PA – The Meter parking lot at Lehigh Valley International Airport (LVIA) is scheduled to close on June 12, 2009 as part of the construction project to renovate the Main Passenger Terminal building.
Customers who intended to use the Meter parking lot should now plan to use the Short Term parking lot. The Short Term lot can be accessed from the left lane at the Airport entrance drive. The cost for the first hour is the same as the meter rate and the first ten minutes are free. The Airport’s Cell Phone lot is also available for those who want to wait in the comfort of their vehicle for their party to call them for pick up at the terminal. The Cell Phone lot is located a short distance from the main entrance and just outside the Long Term parking lot.
Lehigh Valley International Airport is located near Allentown, Pennsylvania and is served by Air Canada, Allegiant Air, AirTran, Continental, Delta, Direct Air, United and US Airways. LVIA serves a twelve county area with a population base of 3.6 million people. The Airport is easily accessible from communities in eastern Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey areas. The airport is entirely funded by user fees; no property tax dollars are used for the airport’s capital improvements or for its day-to-day operation. For more information on LVIA, visit www.lvia.org.
