Lehigh Valley International Airport Reports Another Record Month for April 2004

PA. - Airport officials announced today that 91,508 passengers traveled through the Lehigh Valley International Airport (LVIA) in the month of April marking this the busiest April in the airport's history. This was 22.14% above April 2003 figures when 74,920 passengers used the airport. The Airport has been steadily adding passengers since the low-fare carrier Southeast Airlines began service in August of 2002. Southeast Airlines currently has nonstop flights to Orlando/Sanford International Airport, Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg Clearwater International Airport, and the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and direct service via Columbus, OH to Las Vegas. Air Canada's Air Georgian, Continental Express, Continental Connection, Delta Connection, Northwest Airlines, Southeast Airlines, United Express and US Airways serving LVIA also recognized a growth in their passenger traffic in the month of April. Passenger traffic for the last twelve consecutive months was 1,037,578.
Lehigh Valley International Airport is located near Allentown, Pennsylvania
