EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS & RESPONSE TO BOMBING INCIDENTS TRAINING AT LEHIGH VALLEY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Lehigh Valley, PA – The National Emergency Response and Rescue Training Center will conduct a course on Medical Preparedness & Response to Bombing Incidents at the Lehigh Valley International Airport on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 and Wednesday, April 21, 2010.
The course addresses medical preparedness for and response to blast effects through a combination of lectures, small group activities and tabletop participant exercises. Participants completing this course will gain an enhanced understanding and awareness of issues and considerations relating to a bombing accident. This course is a joint effort of all local hospitals and Emergency Medical Response Services (EMS) Personnel.
Lehigh Valley International Airport is located near Allentown, Pennsylvania and is served by Air Canada, AirTran Airways, Allegiant Air, American, Continental, Delta, Direct Air, United and US Airways. LVIA serves a twelve county area with a population base of 3.6 million people. The Airport is easily accessible from communities in eastern Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey areas.
