Lehigh Valley, Pa. - Airport officials announced today that 81,373 passengers traveled through the Lehigh Valley International Airport (LVIA) in the month of FEBRUARY. This was 23.47% above FEBRUARY 2003 figures when 65,903 passengers used the airport. This is the busiest FEBRUARY in the airport's history. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and direct service via Columbus, OH to Las Vegas. Continental Express, Northwest Airlines, Northwest Airlink, United Express and US Airways Express also saw a growth in their passenger traffic in the month of FEBRUARY.

"Southeast continues its growth and several of the major airlines have recently added capacity," commented George F. Doughty, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority Executive Director. He then went on to say; "More and more people are viewing Lehigh Valley International Airport their airport of choice."

Lehigh Valley International Airport is located near Allentown, Pennsylvania and is served by Air Canada's Air Georgian, Continental Express, Continental Connection, Delta Connection, Northwest Airlines, Southeast Airlines, United Express and US Airways. LVIA serves a twelve county area with a population base of 3.6 million people. The Airport is easily accessible from communities in eastern Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey areas.
