Passenger Traffic at Lehigh Valley International Airport Starts Off Flying High for January 2008
Lehigh Valley, PA - Lehigh Valley International Airport (LVIA) passenger traffic increased 5.43 percent in January, 2008 over January, 2007, according to a summary of airline data released today by the Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA). January total passenger traffic for 2008 was 61,467 compared to 58,300 in 2007.

Lehigh Valley International Airport is located near Allentown, Pennsylvania and is served by Air Canada, Allegiant Air, Continental, Delta, Northwest, United and US Airways. LVIA serves a twelve county area with a population base of 3.6 million people. The Airport is easily accessible from communities in eastern Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey areas. The airport is entirely funded by user fees; no property tax dollars are used for the airport's capital improvements or for its day-to-day operation.
