Lehigh Valley International Airport Receives Top Honors from Allegiant Air

Lehigh Valley, PA - Lehigh Valley International Airport was recognized today by Allegiant Air at its Allegiant Air Airport Conference. Allegiant's passenger volume at LVIA grew 120% between 2006 and 2007, the greatest increase in traffic compared to all other Allegiant served airports. Allegiant serves nearly 60 airports in the continental US.

George F. Doughty, Executive Director of the Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority commented, "We are pleased to be the fastest growing airport in the Allegiant system. Lehigh Valley International Airport is located near Allentown, Pennsylvania and is served by Air Canada, Allegiant Air, Continental, Delta, Northwest, United and US Airways. LVIA serves a twelve county area with a population base of 3.6 million people. The Airport is easily accessible from communities in eastern Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey areas. The airport is entirely funded by user fees; no property tax dollars are used for the airport's capital improvements or for its day-to-day operation.

Congratulations Lehigh Valley International Airport
Airport Receives Top Honor from Allegiant Air

Las Vegas, NV - Lehigh Valley International Airport is flying high after being recognized by Allegiant Air as the airport with the "Highest Passenger Growth" at the first annual Allegiant Air Airport Conference in Las Vegas, Nev. Lehigh Valley was one of only five airports to be recognized for outstanding achievements at a special awards dinner held Feb. 6.

Susan Kittle, Director of Business Development for Lehigh Valley International Airport, was in attendance and received the award from Maurice J. Gallagher, Jr., Allegiant Travel Company president and CEO.

"I would like to congratulate Lehigh Valley International Airport and thank them for the support they have shown us," said Maurice J. Gallagher, Jr. "The airport management team and the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority have been a pleasure to work with and we look forward to a successful, long lasting relationship."

Lehigh Valley International Airport was recognized for increasing the year- over-year Allegiant passenger growth by 120 percent in 2007. This growth was the greatest increase of passenger traffic when compared to all other Allegiant served airports.

The Allegiant Air Airport Conference invited airports currently served by Allegiant Air and airports that would like Allegiant's low-cost nonstop service in their respective areas. Airports had the opportunity to meet with Allegiant representatives and attend workshops that cover a variety of airport related topics. More than 100 airports were in attendance for the conference that was held at Treasure Island Hotel and Casino, Feb. 5 through 7, 2008.
