Lehigh Valley International Airport announces additional jet service by Comair-The Delta Connection

Lehigh Valley, Pa. - Lehigh Valley International Airport and COMAIR-The Delta Connection officials today announced an expansion of daily nonstop jet service from Lehigh Valley International Airport (LVIA) to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport beginning FEBRUARY 2, 1999, with a fourth daily departure.

"This additional flight will give our customers even more convenient schedules to COMAIR's and Delta Air Line's Cincinnati hub. Beginning May 1,1999, LVIA travelers can also utilize the COMAIR hub in Orlando to Florida destinations by flying nonstop on the new Delta Express service to Orlando and connect on COMAIR," reported Bruce Tarletsky, LVIA's Director of Business Development. He also said, "We appreciate the valuable service that COMAIR has provided travelers in the Eastern Pennsylvania and Northern New Jersey region since they began service at LVIA in 1993." With the addition of this new flight, Delta Air Lines, in conjunction with COMAIR and Delta Express, beginning May 1, 1999, will provide the most daily jet departures of any airline from the Lehigh Valley International Airport with 8 flights.

"We are pleased to meet the demand of Lehigh Valley and Eastern Pennsylvania travelers with more convenient schedules to our Cincinnati hub, said Charles Curran, Senior Vice President of Marketing for COMAIR. We have received tremendous support from the Lehigh Valley community since we began service there 5 years ago."

As a Delta Connection carrier, COMAIR is a partner in Delta's worldwide network and offers travelers Delta SkyMiles for each COMAIR flight. COMAIR's schedule at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport offers LVIA connecting travelers 275 daily departures to 65 nonstop destinations. All COMAIR flights operated out of Lehigh Valley International Airport are operated with the 50-seat Canadair Regional Jet. COMAIR operates the largest fleet of regional jets in the world and currently has 72 jets in its fleet of 97 aircraft.
